This work proposes the use of the DC-DC Cuk converter feeding a stationary battery through photovoltaic panels. The main motivation for the development of this work is to provide the energy produced for remote applications, that is, meet the demands of specific loads in places not served by commercial grid, as well as demonstrate the viability of Cuk converter for photovoltaic application. The converter operates with an on-off closed-loop control of voltage with hysteresis. It is used a coupling technique between input and output inductors filters of the Cuk converter, which leads to a significant compression of the structure. The PWM pulses are generated by SG3524 and SG3525 circuits for comparison of results. The efficiency is the focus of this research. Seeks to individualize the loss between the components of the constructed topology in order to minimize it. Simulation and some practical results are presented, among which identifies the converter viability, and functionality of the control loop and the speed improvement in the rise and fall times with the SG3525. |
