This work presents a study to identify problematic aerosol tubes in the production process through thermography. Thermographic cams were installed in the packaging line of an aerosol plant, which communicated with FTP software. Proving the thermography method and comparing it with the traditional “bath-water” method was the main objective of the work. Advantages, efficiency and homologation of the method with the national regulatory body are investigated. The incessant search for improvements, reduction of the physical space occupied by the water bath, cost of production, competitiveness and final price, are taken into account for the application of thermographic technology. It has been identified that the thermography is functional and responds perfectly to the detection of leaky aerosol tubes, bringing several improvements, among them: reduction of the physical space in the production, automatic purging of problematic tubes, greater safety for employees and customers, reduction of the use of natural resources, possibility to generate momentary reports with the quantitative and qualitative data of the products withdrawn in the packing line. |
