The patent plating using tin as standard (ASTM B23 alloy 2) bases in steel SAE 1010/1020 may have changes in their resistance and adhesion characteristics, as determined using the metallization process. Currently there are several processes, such as metallization static centrifugation, thermal spraying and sintering. The processes offer more possibilities and options for coating materials that consequently, offer numerous technical solutions and engineering characteristics such as corrosion protection; ideal for hard work with axes high and low speeds, high wear resistance, resistance to high temperatures and good electrical conductivity, but can also bring deficiencies, which can compromise the final product. This paper presents a study on the process of metal plating by centrifugation using tin patent steel low carbon content, indicating the best surface preparation to receive the coating to the study specimens were fabricated and analyzed according to standard (ISO 4386-2 and revised in 1982). The results showed that the process under study showed satisfactory results, meeting the requirements described in the standard. |
