Resumo: Due to high scrap and customer complaints, a machining company and its employees are implementing statistical process control in the machining line. The purpose of the CEP implementation is to assist in the identification and analysis of the causes of process variability, with CEP analyzes, improvements will be implemented to reduce this variation, in order to eliminate waste and customer complaints. The implementation of the CEP will be performed by a specialized team, for data collection and analysis, being performed in three phases, the first phase will be collected 25 pieces of each position of the device in the sequence of machining, who will collect is the technician of the process , if the process is capable, after analysis of the team, goes to the second phase which is collecting 125 random pieces collected by the machine operator and analysis of the team if the process remains stable and within the specifications goes to the third stage which is the implementation of the letter CEP, analyze the process over the next three months to verify whether the process remains stable, check the scrap reduction and customer complaints. After the three phases completed and approved the machining company will be sure that the process will remain stable and within the control limits. After this first analysis the CEP will be replicated to other company processes.
