In this paper we discuss the main concepts of differential calculus by making use of the history of mathematics, mathematical modeling and new technologies. Initially we present the tangent problem and instant change as responsible for triggering the development of differential calculus. In this way, the derivative is presented within a historical context and therefore more humanized. In section 3.3 are analyzed the main results and techniques of differential calculus using definitions and demonstrations of propositions and theorems. For the purposes of differential calculus made use of Biomathematics to solve problems that relate to concepts of differential calculus with healthcare and biology singled out in subsections 3.5.1, 3.6.1, 3.7.1 and 3.8.1. The new technologies were used in the graphic analysis of mathematical models. |
