This work will propose the installation of control system based on programmable controller (PC) to control a drying compressed air process in an industry. It is possible to obtain compressed air with low residual humidity to pneumatic applications using dryers that operate according to one of following methods: refrigeration, absorption or adsorption. Adsorption is the method used by plant’s equipment. Through research in books, manufacturer manuals, periodics and internet, will be presented current development of drying air compressed technology. It is expected the installation of the PC will increase the efficiency to solve problems related to system control, accompanied by a reduction of maintenance costs. |
