Resumo: This work presents the execution of a retrofitting on a system of water infiltration test in vehicles at carmaker. This equipment is used to check for possible entry of water inside the vehicles after they are assembled. This testing system includes: A water tank; Water pumps; Air curtain; Water injector nozzles; pneumatic cylinders; Electric valves and system control panel. All the control of this equipments and peripherals was by electromagnetic commands, timers relay, level sensors and auxiliary relays. Due the modifications in vehicles and process this control was need changed by technology Programing Logic Controller (PLC) and modern sensors, for example ultrasonic sensor for level control. To this modification was specified a new PLC compatible with the project necessity, was updated the electric diagram, developed the system work logic using the Grafcet language, implemented the logic in PLC using the Ladder programing language and made the screens to Interface between man and machine. After is showed the comparison between the old and the new control, too will show the objectives achieved, not achieved and possible future jobs.
