It is about these transformations occurred on the theatrical space that this article will deal with, more specifically about experiences that were developed in nontheatrical spaces, especially on occupations taking places on city architectures. The article relates experiences of appropriations, not only in physical terms but also regarding the symbology and historicity intrinsic to the cities. A modernização teatral trouxe novas possibilidades para o trabalho com atores, a encenação, a cenografia e também a utilização do espaço teatral. É sobre as transformações ocorridas no espaço teatral que esta monografia irá tratar, mais especificamente sobre as experiências que foram desenvolvidas em espaços não teatrais, em especial na ocupação de arquiteturas da cidade.
