Resumo: This paper presents the curatorial process and creation of set design, as well as its results, referring to two settings of the touring exhibition "David Bowie Is", in London, and in São Paulo. Based on bibliographic references, highlighting the theorists Sonia Salcedo del Castillo and Brian O’Doherty, and data obtained through reviews, videos, photos, floor plans, visit to the Brazilian setting and interviews with a professional responsible for adapting the project to Brazil, makes a comparison between the two settings, in order to observe the points in which they differ and what are the possible consequences for artistic enjoyment and for the original purpose of the exhibition.
