Resumo: It is exposed in this paper the concepts about wireless network on IEEE 802.11 standard. This paper show in details the features of a wireless network defined on IEEE 802.11n standard. Field researchs has been done in a Business environment with about thirty employees, using a particular tool to measure the local electromagnetic spectrum (Hardware Wi-spy and software Chanalyzer) and compare to kinds of wireless topology: The first one with equipments for small offices or homes (called Small Office home Office – SOHO) commonly acquired by hiring internet service providers and the second one with equipments for corporate environment. The technical aspects considered for this paper were equipment configuration and access point robustness, furthermore, it was taken into account the deployment cost and employess perception – users of wireless – about each topology. The tests were performed on equipments using a specific software called iperf3 that is used for generate and measure network traffic with the purpose to evaluate the denial of service. The methodologies used for this paper were literature review, surveys and field researchs.
