Resumo: By 2010 only 18% of children up to 3 years were enrolled in kindergartens, which causes a social problem because the main reason for children being enrolled is the need of the mother enter, or already be inserted in the labor market. One reason for the significant number of low enrollment is due to the absence, until 2007, public policies that resources destined to child education. It was established in 2007 the Fund for Maintenance and Development of Basic Education and Valuing of Education Professionals, which now provides funds to all basic education, kindergarten to high school. These features can be used to finance all stages of early childhood education. In 2007 it was also created by the Federal Government Proinfância - National Programme for Restructuring and Equipment Acquisition for Public School Network Early Childhood Education, which provides financial assistance to municipalities. Since then, were made available patterns and designs suggested, in addition to the conventional building system use, the use of innovative methodologies (MI), whether the light steel frame, PVC or Concrete Wall System Panel. This study sought to identify which system would be more efficient embodied energy point of view (E.I.) materials. From the built-in power values available in banks of national and international data, in addition to budget worksheets provided by the ENDF, we calculated the embodied energy of the value of the building linked to each type of construction technology. This value was calculated based only on the energy embodied in the production of primary materials, which provide larger amount of E.I. which forms the superstructure. As a result it was found that the light steel frame system stood out with the least amount of embodied energy. The conventional system was that performed the worst.
