Resumo: The analysis of building integrated photovoltaic systems into the architecture and itsrelationship with the city, its streets and buildings, reveals that direct and indirect factors establish relationships of influence to better use of feedback systems. The shading as a negative factor in the analysis of a PV system, be it, brise, thin film, panel or solar glass, is the corresponding factor that best should be understood, so as not to generate losses, thus increasing performance and efficiency within the set . In Brazil, there are several researches studying the behavior of these systems within a city or building, especially those developed by the Strategic Research Group on Solar Energy, Federal University of Santa Catarina - PHOTOVOLTAIC-UFSC and LabEEE (Energy Efficiency Laboratory in Buildings) at the national level. This thesis has the objective to establish whether the conceptual basis and the methodology adopted in the shadow of the study and its relation to energy efficient integrated into the architecture photovoltaic systems reflect the quantitative and qualitative indicators that can generate energy losses in the system, with the purpose of follow the changes of reality in the built environment. To this end, a survey and literature review of research related losses shading was done, checking information such as methodology, objectives, justifications and results. The case study was applied with the purpose of exploring the theoretical framework developed in the research was enough to understand the possible losses generated by the effects of shadows on the buildings. For this research the targets were restrigindos conditions that may influence the improvement of the efficiency of a Photovoltaic System in order to understand their relationship with existing shader types in the scientific literature.
