This study presents the analysis of a thermal envelope system based on masonry with a water component, which is drawn from collected rain water. Building materials commonly used in civil construction are not sufficiently efficient with regard to thermal inertia. The study proposes the use of water for increasing thermal mass in envelope walls. The analysis was divided into: calculations based on NBR 15220-2; simulations with ARQUITROP Version 3.0, in three different projects recommended by Caixa Econômica Federal, including the 35 m2 house. It was concluded that water could be used as a building component, improving thermal insulation and thermal control. |
