Resumo: Safety engineering work becomes increasingly indispensable, especially when it comes to the construction industry especially when it comes to the high construction sector that needs large amount of manpower with different qualifications and high degree of risk. The tool preliminary risk analysis was used in this dissertation (PRA) and applied to a work of demolition of the internal divisions of a building of seventeen (17) storey including the opening of a new access to the terrace. It was evident that some measures such as the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and collective protection equipment (CPE) added to comply with regulatory Standards can generate large improvements in the issue of safety of workers, raising awareness about the types of risks and how to prevent them with the help of lectures and training.
