With the disoriented urban growth marked by the Industrial Revolution, problems related to noise pollution began, since large parts of the workers lived near the big manufacturing yards. Unleashing the effects of noise on the body can be severe. There are many individuals who have the ability to adapt to noise, but it does not mean that it is not interfering with your body. The present work was carried out in the state of Paraná, in an industry located in a residential area. It has been installed in the region since the 70's, and is currently considered a large company. In its factory yard the company is made up of three factories of distinct segments, being paper production, corrugated cardboard and paper pulp. Initially the flow of each production process was analyzed and evidenced by measurements which were the noisiest machinery of each factory. Through these collected data, measurements were taken in the expeditions of the factory yard and critical points were established according to the times and places where the highest frequency of complaints in the neighborhood were recorded in favor of the environmental noise generated by the industry. The measurements of the noise levels emitted were carried out with the decibilimetro duly calibrated. They were performed once a month, being in the day and night period. . The results were critically analyzed and compared with the aim of verifying that the industry complies with current regulatory standards and laws. An overall average of all shipments and external points has been made to assess the impact of environmental noise caused in the vicinity and the results found to be inconsistent with legislation. |
