A Confined Space is defined as an space with limits on access, improper or insufficient ventilation, not being designed for continuous human occupancy, and which has various health risks of workers who need to enters to perform the services, being of routine or not. In Confined Spaces the accidents is usually are fatal, requiring a series of steps to ensure the safety of workers involved. The present study aims to conduct analysis of the process the decontamination and maintenance of rail tank wagon, identifying the possible risks and develop safety procedures for working in confined space. The methodology used was a literature review on the Confined Space followed by a case study by analyzing the services run on the railway tank wagon. The research revealed that there are several problems in the current procedure, as the lack of a confined space Safety Management, being possible to suggest measures to solve them. Was identified in the study, the importance of health and safety of workers as factor essential for the preservation and maintenance of adequate workforce, where the company, from the completion of this work, will have sufficient allowances to meet current legislation. |
