Resumo: Built on an area of 6,500 m2 in the city of Curitiba, the building has lines similar to the Ministry of Education and Health Palace in Rio de Janeiro, designed by Oscar Niemeyer and Lucio Costa Architects. The building, originally distributed on 6 floors, also composed music hall and restaurant, opened in January 1965. In order to adapt to the safety standards of the time and especially the physical safety of workers using the building in the mid-90s was built Fire Escape, to facilitate the flow of people in case of emergencies. After two decades, there was the last of the building evacuation simulation held in November 2014 during the SIPAT, that it is unused for not being suitable for NPT-011 - Emergency exits the Fire Department. The objective of this study is to verify the elements that make up the building Fire Escape in relation to current regulations, suggesting corrections for non-compliance and as a basis for building power management reform it and adapt it for use in situations risk and emergency.
