Resumo: Efforts in caring for the safety and health of the workers transcend border countries. At the peace of globalization, capital and technology follow a flow of intensive investment from one country to another and the human factor, expressed in its labor force aspect, results a fundamental component of significant consideration. In Brazil the economy indicates increase and national companies emerge with investments abroad. In search of productivity, production chains are expanded internationally and in recent years, Paraguay presents itself as an interesting option. Thus, besides the factor of capital and technology of investment, it is important to consider the human factor. A closer study of legislation on Safety and Health at Work allows us to observe in a comparative analysis, how worker health is being protected in that country and indirectly in the region. Under the method of a comparative descriptive analysis, a systematic work is done to identify similarities and diferences in legislation, so this way, we can observe the coverage and protection of workers. In the development of this research, it was auspicious find a concentrated normative, conceptually similar to the Brazilian legislation, where Paraguayan regulation RTHSMT appears similar to NRs Ministry of Labour and Employment. However, verifying a lack of coverage for certain risks at work, the regulation reflects a rigid and closed structure to make changes and additions. Finally, it is observed in na underlying form, the contribution of the ILO as an admitted source from which as well as Brazil, Paraguay is a signatory.
