The present study has the goal an analysis of risks in the steps of furniture process. For this was used the managing of risks tool, named APR (Preliminary Analysis of Risk). The context for this analysis was based in a sample of the 20 furniture industries, located in the main regions of furniture industry in the Brazil, visited between the years 2006 to 2012.In the technical visits it was possible observed the steps of manufacturing process of furniture, even in cases were exist technological investments, involve large number of workers performing manuals and repetitive activities. In this case the preliminary analysis of risk can contribute to improving conditions of health and safety of workers in the furniture industry. The case study was focused in the industrial process of furniture that has main characteristic the painting of wood samples with paint sand varnishes (production of serial furniture). The APR technique was applied in each stages of the manufacturing process, from the storage of raw materials, like that MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and MDP (Medium Density Particleboard) to ending stage, that corresponding the packing of prompt samples. The results showed that the main risks present in the stages of manufacture of furniture can be minimized by use of appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for each activity as well as the establishment of working procedures, specific to each sector, can contribute to the organization and control risk management. Therefore it is concluded that the risks of furniture manufacturing process were classified mostly as moderate. The recommendations suggested were running constant to guide the worker about the risks and necessary precautions, use of appropriate PPE for each task, signage graphics and sound, defining spaces of circulation of people with security, installation of ventilation system effective. |
