Sawmills can become an unhealthy work environment, when poorly lit, noisy environments and the use of machines of different proportions and types, contribute directly to the occurrence of work accidents and / or health problems. The objective of this study was to evaluate the noise, lighting and personal protection equipment of a sawmill with wood split in the interior of Santa Catarina. In order to evaluate the noise in which employees of this sawmill were exposed and to know if this exposure could cause any damage to health as hearing problems, the noise level was measured in 6 points distributed throughout the work environment, near the machines Employees. All 6 points had a measurement value greater than the tolerance limit defined by the NR-15, of 85Db (a), for 8 hour exposure. Also illuminance measurements were made in 7 points, 6 of these points being the same where the noise measurements were made, since these are considered the points of frequent and common use of the company. In these illuminance measurements, it was possible to observe insufficiency of the illumination levels in 6 points of the 7 measured and evaluated, which corresponds to 85.71% of the poorly lit environment. Finally, we evaluated the PPE - Individual Protection Equipment provided by the company and it was verified that employees are not in the habit of using their PPE during the whole work day, being the same, of extreme importance to prevent accidents and minimize The impact caused by the high noise levels of the work environment. |
