Resumo: The introduction of technological innovations such as improvements, training of manpower and increased mechanization, contributed significantly to the change in business and adaptations to the needs of health and safety. The perception of risk is defined as the ability to interpret a situation with potential damage to the health or life of the person or others, based on past experience and their extrapolation to a future time. This ability, ranging from a vague opinion to a firm conviction. Thus the aim of this study was to evaluate the perceptions that employees have regarding the safety of the work on five areas that relate to behavior and conduct. The evaluation was based on a structured questionnaire so as to obtain answers yes or no. These questions reflect intrinsic values expected axes suggested. Still based on the results of the questionnaire, a SWOT analysis was conducted, which aimed to suggest possible solutions to enhance and give greater importance to its context and perception by workers of three different fronts. The results show that each work front has its characteristics and work-related risks that are present in their journey. Thus, the perception ends up being differentiated. However in the general context, adjustments must be made so that workers can work context, motivations and risks, so that he, along with the opportunities that the company owns, may be within the safety principles and values proposed by forest certification.
