The civil construction industry, due to the peculiarities inherent to its activities, presents one of the worst occupational safety and health. The constant search for cost reduction creates a disregard for the health and safety of its employees. In this scenario the goal is to perform an analysis of the current situation, pointing noncompliance and propose corrective actions to adapt a building site to the requirements of the Regulatory Norm nº 18 - NR 18. To this end, we conducted a case study by applying a checklist based on NR-18 into a construction in progress. The application of this verification tool allowed an overview of compliance with the norm, pointing out the irregularities and suggesting corrective actions always seeking the safety of workers in order to avoid accidents. From the results it is concluded that the conditions of work safety in the construction sites are rated satisfactory, since the conformity index is higher than the average found in similar studies. |
