The interaction between man and machine is extremely importance for economic development and industrial production, however also brings big problems as a result due the large accidents number occurred during the production process. Thus, it is of fundamental importance to work preventively in these accidents causes by identifying and controlling existent hazards on the machines and work processes. This study objective to analyze a machine is belonging to the telecommunication cables manufacturing and the respective process, step by step, identifying hazards and evaluating the risks based on BS OHSAS18001:2007 requirements standard. As a result, it was observed that the low risk occurs with higher incidence in the work process and although there are two situations in which the risks presented themselves as not acceptable by the proposed methodology, the existence of controls implemented by the company assured reducing risks acceptable. It is concluded that the hazard identification and risk assessment methodology established, met the objective proposed, providing, in the machine under evaluation, comprehensively understanding of the hazards and risk analysis related to them. |
