Proper posture can improve comfort in performing a task. A task can be made up of various activities. The science responsible for the study of posture in the accomplishment of the various activities with focus on health, safety, efficiency and comfort is called Ergonomics. Ergonomic principles were initially applied to industries in their various jobs. With the advancement of its results, ergonomics is increasingly close to the daily lives of the population, serving as the basis, for example, for the design of furniture, appliances. In this sense, the purpose of this work was to evaluate comparative posture versus discomfort through the ergonomic principles of EWA (Ergonomic Work Analysis) in three activities of a domestic worker. The selected activities refer to the care of babies, being: feeding, changing diapers and making sleep. The tools of RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) and Corlett were used to measure the postures and intensity of discomfort, respectively, at the end of a working day. With the application of the tools in two different moments, for each activity, it was possible, as a result, to confirm the reduction of approximately 28% of the discomfort at the end of the day, with the adjustment of the worker's posture. |
