The use of Protective Personal Equipments is unprecedented to preserve the health area staff. The research, with qualitative means, made through the application of a questionnaire to the nursing professionals with the main objective of evaluating the use of the Protective Personal Equipments and general concepts about work safety. 13 nursing assistants and nursing technicians had participated in the research, those that works on nine “Unidades Básicas de Saúde” and “Unidades de Saúde da Família”, in the basic level of health care for the general public, within the “Sistema Único de Saúde”. The subjects discussed were: personal (gender, age group); professional (educational level, job or function, work bond, paid activities); work accidents; PPEs and work clothing; needles procedures; dispose of sharpening materials; hygiene with gloves; training; manual of instructions. With the responses of the questionnaire, graphs, charts and tables made demonstrated the results. The results compared with some of the requisites of Regulatory Standards 32 and 6. The conclusions of this research is that exist a gap of theoretical knowledge about PPEs and work safety, there is violation of norm rules and that is necessary to implement training for the professionals. |
