Chemical test laboratories are environments surrounded by hazards that can lead to accidents when activities are performed without attention. For a safe working place, some procedures are necessary for the correct emergency response, minimizing the personal and material consequences of accidents. From this, the present work intended to verify the situation of the accommodations in which the chemical analysis laboratory used as a case study is located. Based on the inspection performed and the Norms of Technical Procedure of the Fire Department of the State of Paraná and the Regulatory Norms on the subject, a preliminary risk analysis (APR) for accidents in the laboratory in question was achieved. The most relevant risks that the employees are exposed, according to the APR were from intoxication, fire and explosion. Recommendations have also been made for the correction of established risks and for the prevention of accidents. It was verified that the situation of the facilities where the chemical analysis laboratory is located is of non-compliance with the Technical Standards of the Fire Department of the State of Paraná and the Brazilian Regulatory Standards, and corrections are required to comply with regulations. |
