Resumo: The use of Big Bags currently represents 40% of coffee exports in Brazil, and it is an alternative to facilitate logistics and reduce costs. The purpose of this study is to analyze occupational hazards in the work environment in an industry that produces Big Bags in southern Brazil. For this, a survey was performed at the work stations within the industry, where there are employees engaged in distinct functions, using qualitative assessments through local inspection and quantitative evaluations with noise and temperature measuring devices. The results obtained, in general, shows that the work environment has unhealthy conditions according to the limits of tolerance established by the legislation in effect. Concludes that it is indispensable the adoption of measures to improve the environmental conditions in industry.
