This work aims to demonstrate the potential for power savings in an industry with compressed air, analyzing the real possibilities of reducing energy waste in the generation and distribution, as well as awareness of proper use of compressed air. It shows the potential savings in generation of the compressed air, which is the correct adjustment and maintenance of compressors. On the distribution is shown the correct sizing of compressed air, its layout and verification work of the compressed air network, which consists of a thorough leak detection with the use of specific equipment, system measurements which are included measurements of air, raising the demand for compressed air plant, check the flow of the system by measuring flow compressors, it is possible to trace the consumption profile and perform the correct settings of the machines and make the correct identification energy costs and where savings are possible. It is shown how the work should be done to detect leaks, which allows to discover the amount of leaks and how this problem corresponds regarding air production, as well as the actions that must be performed to reduce this waste. Another phase of the work consists in the rational use of compressors, is shown the work of installing a new control system, and how we can reduce the range of minimum and maximum pressure of the compressed air system as well as automatically adjust a range of productive and time pressure to a pressure in nonproductive time (lower), without affecting production. It also conducted a study of the need for pressures in various areas of the factory, with this work, it is possible to reduce the pressure in the generation of compressors in production schedules and out of production. Finally is taken into consideration the right end use of compressed air, which is to maintain the correct line equipment and especially in the education of persons working in these positions, because in these positions is where most leakage network Compressed air and therefore the major source of waste. |
