The driving force has a significant participation in the consumption of electricity, especially in the industrial sector, it represents about 70% which means 38% of total Brazilian (data from the Statistical Yearbook of Energy Research Company (EPE) - 14/09 / 2012). Coupled with this observation we have adjustable speed drives, more often known as frequency converters, which play an important role in energy efficiency when dealing with three-phase induction motor, the efficiency gains that they can provide more than merely the replacement of by efficient conventional engines. The aim of this work is to show the benefits of using AC drives, as well as analyze the feasibility of implementing such projects with resource utilization efficiency program ANEEL. |
