This work consisted in realization of energy diagnosis in an industry of nonferrous mining production in the region of Colombo, Paraná. Exploratory research was carried out, through bibliographic research with a descriptive and quantitative approach. Technical visits were made to the industry to survey the production processes and profile of energy consumption, as well as the survey of the electric charges used in these processes. Through calculations, the savings potential was determined by replacing old equipment by new ones with better efficiency, and to determine the cost of investment, budgets were made with specialized companies. The following indicators were used for the investment analysis of the project: Simple Payback, Discounted Payback, Internal Rate of Return, Net Present Value and Profitability Index. It was concluded that the industry is already framed in the best tariff option of the ACR, framed in the green hourly rate. With the migration to the free energy market an average monthly savings of up to 9% can be obtained, R$ 5.314,47. The project of replacing the entire lighting system with a LED technology resulted in a 4-year and 5-month Simple Payback. For other indicators, this project was not profitable for the company. The Project to replace current powertrain systems by high-performance engines resulted in a 9-year and 3-month Simple Payback, Discounted Payback greater than 15 years, NPV of R$ - 92.932,57, IRR of 6,83 %, and Profitability Index of 0,64 at a cost of capital of 14,68%. |
