Resumo: This job aims to perform a RAM analysis in an iron ore balling disc system inside an iron ore pelletizing plant site. This analysis will be based on historical data of the time between failures of the system’s components.The system will be modeled using RBD (Reliability Block Diagram) and a RAM analysis will be performed. This analysis will reveal the most critical assets and the ones that most affect the system’s availability. In addition to conventional indicators obtained with RAM analysis, a particular indicator for the studied system called “adjusted availability” will be calculated. This indicator is related to the availability of the system when the production throughput is taken into account.Finally, the indicators obtained with RAM analysis will be compared with real results taken from historical operational data of the balling disc system so the model can be calibrated.
