The need for cost reduction, nowadays, is present in all business sectors, in duct transport companies, electric power is the big villain, and managers are forced to worry about energy efficiency in their decision-making, during the investment stages. This work models old and new electric motors through a Monte Carlo Life Cycle Cost Analysis and Simulation, sweeping the cost alternatives over an expected period of the engines, identifying the likely differences in the energy efficiency of each equipment and facilitating the Decision-making. An important aspect, also suggested in this work, is the recurrent failure in economic and financial analyzes where the factors of analysis are reduced and the results found different from the real values. In this thesis, a 43% error was observed due to the use of simplified estimates. |
