Resumo: The quality of the fuel delivered to the final consumer depends on a rigorous filtering process carried out in several stages from production to final shipment. In a pipeline fuel delivery process, filtration occurs in a specific section containing water and particulate separator filters. The objective of this work was to find an optimal time to carry out preventive maintenance of the micronic filters of an aviation kerosene pipeline. The life of the filters was modeled by two statistical distributions of Weibull, allowing to relate the reliability of the equipment with the number of hours of operation, and with the number of days since the installation of the filter elements after a maintenance, generating suggestions of replacement times. Another relevant finding was the discovery that two manufacturers could be supplying products with very disparate life cycle.
