Resumo: The petroleum logistics system on the São Paulo coast, composed of terminals and pipelines, has strategic importance in the production of fuels such as gasoline, diesel oil, LPG, jet fuel, as well as naphtha, turpentine, propene and special solvents, etc. Refineries generally work with low oil stocks, so a sharp logistics system unavailability may cause shortages of these derivatives producer centers and consequently affect consumers as companies from the sectors of road transport, aviation and naval. In this context, the objective of the work is to model this system for its usual operating scenarios and to simulate its dynamic behavior of operation, and the failure/repair process over a year. After the simulation, parameters of interest for the blocks as available and unavailable times, number of expected failures, mean time between failures (MTBF) and availability are obtained. Finally, it identifies the systems that contribute most to the interest aspects such as unavailability or failures with system stops, and with this, it is possible to improve strategies of asset management.
