Resumo: The mechanical equipment currently operates within parameters, aiming at reducing costs and gain with availability and reliability. Reliability Centered Maintenance (MCC) is a method that can help companies develop a systematic maintenance plan, achieving their goal in terms of cost and benefit. The MCC establishes a structured methodology for the determination of maintenance actions, reducing possible functional failures in the equipment. It is proposed in the case study, a methodology of construction of the plan, where the steps of the proposed model are: (i) separation of systems and information, (ii) identification of functions and functional failures of the system, (iii) Failure Modes and Effects (FMEA), (iv) selection of maintenance activities and (v) maintenance plan. This work exposes using the MCC as the central methodology to arrive at the desired availability, aiming at the reduction of failures in refrigerated vehicles, identifying the critical components and discerning the maintenance history.
