Resumo: The quest for continuous improvement should be the great goal of companies to stay competitive, to do more and better with less costs. In this line of thinking this work aims to evaluate the improvements implemented a year ago in the process of an assembly line of electric motors of the company WEG Motores. The assembly line studied is intended for the assembly of special motors. Identifying the possible wastes still existing in the process, testing and defining the best flow and proposing improvements will be the specific objectives of this work. For this to be possible, the process of this line was followed for four months. For the collection of information and data were involved all the people who act in this process. It was sought in the specific bibliography to generate a theoretical reference that could base the research project. During the study, several wastes were identified in the process. These wastes served as the basis for conducting various practical tests and simulations on the production flow. Through these experiments it was possible to determine the best options for eliminating these wastes. All the losses or wastes identified in the process are described in this paper, as well as the results and suggestions for improvements to be implemented.
