Resumo: |
This study was performed to analyze the use and evaluation of a developed platform for learning English, for students from the Fisk Language Center, named Cyberfisk (CF), in which the students have access to download the audios of his book, as well as extra activities related to each of the classes studied in the classroom, on your personal computer by an access code and password. The use of the technological tool generates reports to the teacher and the possibility of using a chat. These reports were the basis for the analysis and development of this article. The aim of this study was to analyze the use of CF and what it accounted for the individual achievement of students. A group of adult students was selected, aged 23 to 40, who received instruction of the CF usage by the teacher in the classroom and made use of the CF at home. The data survey was based on the report generated by the platform and compared to the report card (considering the listening skills). The analysis showed that students tend to download the audio from the first book, when they are presented to the platform. This did not occur in the following semesters. Regarding the number of accesses, it should be considered that some students have just downloaded the audio, and that students who most used the platform performed 11 and 10 accesses in one semester. Regarding the scores, the access to the audio or the use of the platform out of the classroom showed no improvement in final performance in Listening skill. |
