This paper discusses the difficulties of managing a road projects team and seeks to study strategies and identify attitudes that can assist the engineer coordinator to manage the team, at the same time that promotes the motivation of the employees. Presents concepts related to motivation and its influence on team performance. Addresses the skills and abilities that the coordinator needs to have as a team leader, along with the attitudes capable of leading people to perform the tasks and to achieve the objectives. Presents aspects of interpersonal relationships and behaviors that affect the teamwork. Complemented by a field research, identifies the positives and negatives points about the project team current motivation level on an engineering road design company of Curitiba – PR., as well as the perception of people about the project coordinator leadership and completion of tasks through teamwork. Suggests attitudes about behavior changes, with incentives and improvements in communication by the leadership that can motivate and increase the employee performance. |
