Resumo: This paper has its focus on the professional qualification of Construction Managers in Brazil and the UK. Its main objective is to establish a comparative analysis between post-graduate courses in Construction Management in these two countries, highlighting their main features, differences and similarities. It aims to contribute to the theme suggesting ways to improve these courses, searching in the comparative analysis the ideas and inspirations for the improvement of education and consequently of professional practice and its reflection in the construction market. The methodologies applied in the development of this study were the literature review, surveys and case study. Thus, it attempted to first understand the context of the construction industry in both countries, and the importance of professional manager works in this scenario. Then it is made an analysis of the structure of the two postgraduate courses: Construction Management from the UTFPR and Masters in Construction Project Management at the University of Westminster. It was also analyzed the profile of the students from both institutions through the use of questionnaires. It is concluded that the courses have many similarities and equivalent content of disciplines, but are taught in different ways, being the approach of the curriculum arrangement offered by the Brazilian course to the British model seen as a major improvement to be implemented.
