Resumo: |
This paper aims at comparing two of the main equipment used in transports loads, horizontal and vertical, in construction sites: the tower cranes and the telehandlers. This comparison has as its specific focus on the works of the government housing program, Minha Casa Minha Vida (My Home My Life), regarding the most costeffective. To achieve this goal it was necessary to evaluate these equipment in different ways, among which are: load capacity, maximum working heights, costs involved from the mobilization and demobilization, rental cost, operators and consumption, to the availability of deployment in many different situations of land, environment and logistics. All these data were obtained by means of: books that address this issue, manuals provided by the vendors on Web sites, reports of journals, academic papers related to this subject and contracts of real works of the said program. It was concluded that the telehandler stood out before the tower crane in some of the main aspects analyzed, such as: horizontal reach and rental cost. This result, however, was obtained by observing the prerogatives proposed for this work, this means that there could be a reversal if analyzed under any other configurations of possible works. |
