Resumo: Statistics on accidents at work in the construction industry continue to present alarming figures, causing damage to employees, employers and society in general, as well as burdening the public social security system. The objective of the present work is to collect information from the analysis of labor accident reports prepared by Labor Auditors, through a documentary and bibliographical research, through the portal of MTE - Ministry of Labor and Employment. It is understood that the result of this search may guide the work of prevention of work accidents, as the trends found are considered in the preparation of Work Orders, Preliminary Risk Analysis and even in the document entitled PCMAT - Conditions Program and Work Environment in the Construction Industry. After a careful analysis, stratifying the information provided in the reports, it was identified that the construction of buildings was the economic activity, within the civil construction, where more accidents occurred, followed by works of generation and distribution of energy and telecommunications and assemblies of Industrial installations and metal structures. The most frequent work accidents for the analyzed period were the fall of height, to a large advantage, followed by burials, collapses and landslides, impact, contact and penetration beyond the electric current. The occupations most exposed to accidents at work were those of construction servants, followed by masons and carpenters.
