Resumo: The concern to reduce environmental impacts, through socioeconomic activities, has been increasing. Civil construction is one of the sectors that can cause several impacts, from the consumption of natural resources to the production of inputs to the construction site, through soil changes, vegetation areas, to the effects of increased electricity consumption . The green roof has been increasingly efficient with the minimization of environmental impacts and bringing benefits to society and economy simultaneously, however, the construction system is still little explored in the construction branch. It is possible to convince the architects and / or designers of construction companies to implement the system, with the aid of projects, management tools and feasibility studies, transforming an idle space of a building into a leisure area and attractiveness. In addition, the green roof is capable of reducing conventional energy and water costs inside a building and controlling the islands of heat and flooding in urban and waterproofareas.
