Resumo: The search for continuous improvement in industrial management requires managers to be proactive in both the internal and external processes in which the company is involved. For this, it is necessary to be always up-to-date in relation to the new maintenance and management techniques. Companies know that success and business excellence are based on the creation of values that are effective from initiatives, decisions and actions of their managers. The objective of this work is to demonstrate the application of predictive maintenance techniques in a cold-water plant, aiming at the rationalization of strategies and maintenance costs. In this case, the analysis of the application of predictive techniques was performed with the contracting of outsourced companies to guarantee the availability of the system based on the reliability of the inspections carried out. With this study, it was possible to quantify the costs directed to the predictive actions compared to eventual failures of the water cooling system that requires an availability of at least 90%.
