The Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant, operating since 1980 decade, always kept high levels of performance. During the decade of 1990 was benchmarking in terms of maintenance, and a pioneer in Brazil to use modern maintenance technics; at that time was develop a computerized maintenance system that is used until now days. The focus of this system is on the plant’s generation infrastructures, but it is also used by the maintenance laboratory. There are several gaps that are not fulfilled by the current system and the objective of this work is to carry out part of the planning stage, according to good project management practices, of a computerized system that meets the laboratory's demands for maintenance of Itaipu. |
