This study analyzes the economic and financial viability in the replacement of a plastic injection machine. This involves the overall cost of capital, operation and maintenance in various scenarios of operation of the equipment. We present the functions of maintaining and analyzed the effects of this in the economic life of the equipment. It discusses the factors that hinder the decision making in relation to the replacement of equipment and how companies are moving towards running low on equipment when it reaches its useful life. Also presented are the causes that lead to replacement of assets, and is complemented with calculations showing that the equipment should be replaced by present operating costs and high maintenance. As a result of the study are shown that investment decisions are more informed and successful when there is a monitoring and control equipment costs related to its economic and operational life. |
