Currently it has been observed a growth projection for steel constructions in Brazil and identified a demand for solutions that improve the design of steel structures due to the short lead time required by customers. One solution to this problem is the development of applications that support the detailed design stage. For Company X, they have been identified and evaluated some opportunities for improvement and, through the Tekla Structures software, plug-ins are designed to automate connections used by designers. There has been some validation and measurement tests comparing modeling times with and without the use of plug-ins. We conclude that the use of plugins that support the modeling projects of steel structures can bring increased productivity, quality and cost reduction. |
