Resumo: Micro and small companies have many difficulties to manage the development of their products, because they hardly implement management models for this purpose. The methodologies found in the literature are focused in mature and structured companies, which have many resources for the implementation. Small-sized enterprises have difficulties making the accession of established methods of management of the product development too hard. This job seeks analyze small-sized companies and purpose a product development management model to applicable to such companies. By an interview with micro and small-sized companies located in Ponta Grossa - Paraná, the characteristics about the practices used by these enterprises were raised. These data, together with the study of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), SCRUM and the unified model of Rozenfeld et al. (2006) methodologies allowed the development of a simplified model of product development management, which has features designed for easy implementation in micro and small enterprises.
