The networks of current and future transmissions require to be prepared and able to provide the various services which converge inside the network as voice, data and video, ensuring quality of delivery of an offered product. The insertion of IPTV service in SDH and MPLS networks challenges the existing infrastructure, requiring new methodologies and adjustments in the legacy infrastructure systems. The proposed paper presents an analysis of existing SDH and MPLS transmission networks to support IPTV service, mapping the management of these networks to the distribution of traffic and discussing about control of bandwidth in order to efficiently scale resources to the services and improve network performance as well as approaches regarding client privacy. |
