Refrigerators with internal cameras, allowing the user to know what's inside remotely, beds that monitor user sleep and send reports by email. Home automation is increasingly present in people's daily lives, several brands are producing their products capable of communicating with the internet allowing them to be controlled remotely. Due to the lack of a standard protocol of communication each manufacturer develops device their own way, forcing the user to own a different application for each provider. In the market some companies already work with solutions to integrate the systems of home automation of different manufacturers. One of the solutions are voice assistants, computers controlled by voice commands that serve as a central to control all the devices in a house. This work proposes to use Amazon's voice assistant, Amazon Echo, to control infrared devices through an arduino. |
