However, Photography can also tell stories when capture the theatrical event. This paper aims to verify in a conception of photographic narrative whether a single picture is enough or a whole photographic project is needed and also if during this process, photography is able to communicate a theatrical narrative. The concepts used include the many forms of narrative, literary, visual and photographic, to search for congruences and point out ways so the photographer can build a photographic narrative able to tell the reader the constant aspects of Theater. In this reseatch, we used photographic practice to take pictures of two theatrical plays, from which was intended to create their respective photographic naratives and obtain, from this exercise, subterfuges to relect on photography act. As results, there were questions raised about possible ways to theatrical photographic narrative, about partnership between director and photographer to create a legible story to the reader/viewer and about the scarse study on this theme. Por muito tempo a fotografia no teatro serviu apenas para ilustrar, criar registro histórico ou divulgação. Entretanto, a fotografia pode também narrar histórias quando capta o evento teatral. O objetivo deste trabalho é verificar se na concepção de uma narrativa fotográfica de peças de teatro, é necessário uma única foto ou um projeto fotográfico e se neste processo a fotografia consegue comunicar a narrativa teatral. Os conceitos utilizados abordam as várias formas de narrativa, literária, visual e fotográfica, para buscar as congruências e apontar caminhos para que o fotógrafo construa uma narrativa fotográfica que comunique ao leitor os aspectos constantes no teatro. No processo desta pesquisa utilizou-se da prática na captação de fotografias de dois espetáculos teatrais, dos quais pretendeu-se criar suas respectivas narrativas fotográficas e obter através deste exercício, subterfúgios para reflexão do ato fotográfico.
